Abstract
Nature is part of everyday life, from finding rooms decorated with plants, the investment of time and money made by the residents of a house in a garden, to the union of communities to maintain a park or a green space in the sector. in which they live, all this has shown since ancient times that the interaction between man and the green area is essential for the development of life and society from the smallest cell such as the home to the neighborhood and city. The objective of this article seeks to show the disparity and obsolescence in the presence of public green areas, which allow neighborhood interaction and quality of life in the neighborhood, compared to other neighborhoods of different socio-economic levels and how this is related to social cohesion in the fourth sector of the Gómez Carreño neighborhood, Viña del Mar.
